Screenings Under the Stars- Outdoor Film Series  
 
Picture it! The new RiverStage at Penn’s Landing is transformed into a unique outdoor theater for another season of Screenings Under the Stars. Every Thursday night in July and August, a different popular film will be featured outdoors on a big screen on the new RiverStage at Penn’s Landing, located on Columbus Boulevard at Chestnut Street. The screening, sponsored by media partners NBC 10 and B101.1 FM, will begin at dusk or approximately 8:30 p.m. in July and 8:00 p.m. in August. Screenings Under the Stars is affordable family entertainment and/or a great date night for couples at a great price, FREE! Seeing a spectacular film on the waterfront under the stars is the perfect family outing or truly unique and memorable summer date. Couples will be reminded of the old fashioned romance created by drive in movies. Visitors can start or end their evening on South Street or in Old City, just a short walk from Penn’s Landing.

B101 will host the specific screenings and coordinating themed games and prizes. NBC 10 also partnered again this season to present this free series.

WBEB 101.1 FM (B 101) is an adult contemporary radio station broadcasting in the Philadelphia market. Founded in 1963, B101 is credited with many industry firsts and has enjoyed consistent Top 10 ratings for decades. The station is owned and operated by Jerry Lee. The 2010 Summer Program of Free Events at Penn’s Landing is funded and produced by the Delaware River Waterfront Corporation (DRWC). All events produced by DRWC are FREE to the public on the Great Plaza, the heart of Penn's Landing, Philadelphia’s premier Delaware River waterfront entertainment destination. The DRWC is a nonprofit corporation created in January 2009 exclusively for the benefit of the City of Philadelphia and its citizens. The fundamental purpose of DRWC is to design, develop and manage the central Delaware River waterfront in Philadelphia. DRWC intends to transform the waterfront into a vibrant destination location for recreational, cultural, and commercial activities for the residents and visitors of Philadelphia.
