The Roaring Twenties Release Debut EP |
| |
Nothing And A Lot Records released the EP "Colorful"
by The Roaring Twenties on June 29, 2010. The album, currently available
online through iTunes, Amazon and the band's website, features
singer-songwriter Peter Joseph's booming voice and delicate chord
structures, guitarist Rich Pena's Page-esque riffing and Noelle Casella's
du Pre worthy cello lines.
Recorded, mixed and produced entirely by Pete, the pressing of the album
stands as the first official release following years of home-made music
being sold out of a book-bag.
"Colorful" finds Pete addressing the themes of life as they fly by:
adjusting to life as an adult, love and loss, and what it means to just
be. The group bounces back and forth through a pinball machine of musical
idiom: bluesy balladeers, Americana folk crooners, closet jazz freaks, and
lovers of rock 'n' roll.
A CD Release party is scheduled for Thursday, August 26th at Puck in
Doylestown, PA. Other upcoming dates include Wednesday July 28th at The
National Underground in New York, NY, and October 30th at The Steel City
Coffee House in Phoenixville, PA.
Nothing And A Lot Records is an independent label founded by The Roaring
Twenties' bandleader, Peter Joseph.
