Madonna, John Party In West Hollywood For Oscars
Two of rock's biggest names were celebrating at the same pre-Oscar party late last week. "The Los Angeles Times" reports that Madonna and Sir Elton John were spotted at a preview party for Soho House in West Hollywood on Thursday. The gathering was to celebrate the Oscars, while shining a spotlight on the nonprofit organization, RADD. The organization is a non-profit that promotes positive attitudes about road safety among celebs and the media. Highlights of the evening included steak tartar, champagne and lots of stars. Maggie Gyllenhaal, a Best Supporting Actress nominee for "Crazy Heart" was there, as were Rosanna Arquette, former Oscar-nominee Matt Dillon, and Madonna's manager Guy Oseary.
Soho House is an elite members-only club that currently has locations in New York and London. Soho House was also immortalized in an episode of "Sex and the City" that featured character Samantha Jones attempting to infiltrate the club using another woman's lost membership card. According to "The Times," Soho House officially plans to open a location in Los Angeles this week. |
