Ke$ha Talks "Blah Blah Blah" About Spears' Lip-Synching
Ke$ha does not approve of Britney Spears' infamous lip-synching during her 2009 "Circus" tour. The "TiK ToK" singer tells the UK's "Daily Record" that "miming" isn't fair to fans who go to see a show. Ke$ha says, quote, "You should make it very clear when you are singing and very clear when you are dancing...I refuse to mime." Ke$ha's track, "TiK ToK," is currently sitting at number four on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart. She calls her debut album, "Animal," one that is "really honest." That's why she says it's so important not to fake it for fans. Ke$ha says, quote, "It's treating people as if they are too stupid to realize you are not actually singing."
Spears came under fire during her recent "Circus" tour of Australia. Critics there panned the singer for her lip-synching performances. At one point, Spears' tour manager, Paul Dainty, made a statement to the press in the singer's defense. He said at the time, quote, "It's been all over the Internet for nine months. The inference is that we tried to hide this. It's been the opposite. The show is about an incredible spectacle, which it is." |
