Senses Fail Don't Fail Workers
Senses Fail is taking part in this weekend's Harvest Of Hope festival and they're happy to participate in something that brings awareness to the plight of migrant workers. Singer Buddy Nielsen tells AlternativePress.com, quote, "I think it's basically like supporting the backbone of the country. If it weren't for migrant workers working on farms, a lot wouldn't get done. There's the complaint that they're taking jobs, but they're doing jobs most wouldn't do and for considerably less pay. To me, they're providing a necessary and useful help to our country and we should support them." Nielsen says he grew up going to shows where performers encouraged political activism, and while he doesn't feel that Senses Fail is a political band, he's happy to lend their name to the event. |
